COHORTS

5th and 6th grade students are divided into cohorts (groups) for PE, Library and Music. Students who are in band do not have general music with Ms. Black or Ms. Longbucco. They are taught by Mr. Radford on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Band students still have PE and Library instruction.

  • 5th Grade Cohorts
    • Stein Cohort: Students not in band from Stein and Null homerooms.
    • Córdova Cohort: Band students from Ogle, Seiler, and Córdova homerooms.
    • Ogle/Seiler Cohort: Students who aren't in band from Ogle, Seiler and Córdova homerooms.
    • Null Cohort: Band students from Stein and Null homerooms.
  • 6th Grade Cohorts
    • Harney Cohort: Mostly band students from Harney, Esposito and Curtis homerooms.
    • Curtis Cohort: Students from Curis and Harney homerooms.
    • Esposito Cohort: Remaining non-band students from the Esposito homeroom. ​​​​​​​

Library Circulation Policies

Checking Out

5th & 6th Grade: 4 books

3rd & 4th Grade: 3 books

1st & 2nd Grade: 2 books

Kindergarten: 1 book (check out to the classroom only will begin in late October/early November)

Loan Period

Library books are checked out to students for 7 days.

Overdue Items

Books are due on library day. A book is considered overdue the day after it's due date. Students cannot check out until the overdue item is returned or paid for. Overdue notices are mailed out every month.

Lost or Damaged Items

Library items that are lost or damaged must be paid for before students can check out.

Renewing Items

Any item can be renewed for an additional week but the book must be brought into the library to do so.

An item cannot be renewed if another student is on hold for that title.
