Construction Documents & Work Bids
A new Pacific Middle School is scheduled to open in fall 2027.
Design and land-use reviews are currently underway. We expect the construction documents to be completed by the end of 2024. Once finalized, Skanska, the general contractor and construction manager, will post portions of the project for bid.
Pacific Students Move to Olympic Interim Site
Fall 2025-Spring 2027
During the two-year construction period starting in fall 2025, students will attend school at the Olympic Interim Site in Des Moines, with bus transportation provided. Olympic has housed students from Highline and Tyee high schools during their construction phases.
New School Features
The new Pacific will feature:
- Solar panels
- Angled bus parking spaces
- Separate driving loops for buses and cars
- A three-story classroom wing on the south side
- A warm, welcoming entrance facing 24th Avenue South
