In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy, Cedarhurst hosted a food drive. They set a goal of donating 400 non-perishable items. Cedarhurst collected and donated 684 non-perishable items to the Highline Food Bank Pantry. The Food Bank Pantry was excited and overwhelmed with the generous donation; they had not received such a large donation in over 3 years and with the mini snow storm, they were low on food at the pantry.
“I have the audacity to believe that people everywhere can have three meals a day for their bodies, education and culture for their minds, and dignity, equality and freedom for their spirits.” Martin Luther King Jr.
Thank you to our Cedarhurst Families for sending non-perishable food items, helping us reach our goal and making a difference to our community.
