Future Ready Fest, originally scheduled for September 25 at Highline High School, is postponed. Due to the ongoing cyber incident investigation, we currently don’t have full access to the systems needed to provide the best support for students. We will share the new date as soon as it is confirmed.

We were notified of a social media post claiming a threat against multiple schools across the region, including some Highline schools. Out of an abundance of caution, the named schools will begin the day in a modified lockdown with increased security to ensure the safety of all students and staff.

Future Ready Fest

This free, drop-in college and career resource fair is designed to guide high school students, especially seniors, through the next steps of their education and career journeys.

Health Policy

To combat fentanyl-related overdose deaths and comply with new state legislation, we will be distributing Narcan to our elementary and middle schools. Our high schools have had this medication available for several years. School nurses, as well as identified staff, have received training on how to identify and respond to potential overdose situations. Read our policy and procedure and learn about laws.

Melissa Petrini

Join School Board Director Melissa Petrini for an evening in celebration of National Literacy Month at the My Favorite Book Share & Exchange Event on Tuesday, September 24. Led by School Board Director Melissa Petrini, this event invites readers of all ages to come together, share their love for books, and discover new stories.
